Acrylic, commonly referred to as plexiglass, makes a truly vibrant, contemporary display when images are mounted to the back of clear gloss acrylic. With your image safely protected from dust and scratches, colors explode with a stunning third dimensional look to your image.
With museum wraps, the canvas is stretched over stretcher bars and stapled on the back. The stretcher bars range in depth from 1/2" to 2" and the image only shows on the front.
Gallery wraps follow the same procedure as museum wraps except the image appears on the front and sides. The stretcher bars range in depth from 1/2" to 2". If left unframed, gallery wrapping adds a 3rd dimension to the piece since the artwork is visible from all sides.
Designed for artwork that is printed or painted on canvas, floater frames give art the illusion of floating inside the picture frame and a sense of three-dimensional depth in the overall display.
